I just found out violin strings were first made with cattle intestines (called catgut). They were stretched, dried and twisted. I just want to know, how do you even decide to do something like that?? “Oh hay guyz these intestines sure look like they’ll produce a nice sound if I run my horse hair over it!” Lol someone tell me now.
