A few weeks before the game, a local pastor was in a Starbucks talking about Jesus with a friend. Two women (who the pastor didn’t know were being prostitute) overheard the conversation and asked him to tell them more. By the end of the night, both women responded to the Gospel by giving their lives to Jesus. The incredible thing is that they went back to their pimp and told him about Jesus - for some reason he listened. He even called the pastor (who had given out his contact information) and ended up giving his life to Jesus. This guy wasn’t low on the food chain either… he had control and ownership of about 70 other pimps with total control over about 1,600 prostituted women in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area. The newly converted pimp asked the pastor to come share Jesus with some of his friend (who were also pimps) and some of the girls they owned. In all, about 200 women gave their lives to Jesus along with 2-3 pimps. They’re all in the middle of planning an outreach event to people in the sex industry.
